Kansas leads U.S. wheat production and runs one of the largest beef cattle economies in the country. The Wheat Belt — Sumner, Sedgwick, Reno, and McPherson counties through central Kansas — produces a major share of the nation's hard red winter wheat. Cattle feeding concentrates in the High Plains counties of Finney, Ford, Haskell, and Seward. The Flint Hills of east-central Kansas support some of the largest tallgrass cattle operations remaining in the country. Eastern Kansas adds corn, soybean, and dairy.
Tractor donations from Kansas heavily feature John Deere combines from the wheat country — particularly the older 9000 and S-series machines retired from grain harvest. Case IH high-horsepower wheat tractors are routinely donated from larger operations. New Holland balers and hay equipment come in from the Flint Hills and the eastern Kansas hay country. Vintage Farmall, Allis-Chalmers, and Oliver tractors from Kansas wheat heritage are accepted on the same terms as modern equipment.
From large row crop tractors to compact utility units, combines to skid steers, every type of agricultural equipment donated from Kansas is accepted — running or not, with attachments or bare, stored in a field or in a barn.
TractorDonations.org coordinates Kansas pickup across the wheat country and beyond. Central wheat belt routes include Wichita, Hutchinson, Salina, and Newton. Western Kansas coverage runs through Garden City, Dodge City, Liberal, and Goodland. Eastern Kansas pickup includes Kansas City, Topeka, Lawrence, and Manhattan. The Flint Hills are routine pickup territory. Lowboy transport handles combines and large tractors; flatbed serves smaller equipment.
Call 1-888-324-2772 or use the Kansas donation form with make, model, year, and a brief description of condition and pickup location. Most donations confirmed quickly.
