Maine agriculture is anchored by two distinct economies. Aroostook County's potato fields run through Presque Isle, Caribou, and Fort Fairfield — one of the most concentrated potato producing regions east of Idaho. Downeast and central Maine support the country's wild blueberry industry along with dairy. The southern counties run small-scale dairy, vegetable, and increasingly diversified specialty operations. Coastal Maine's salt marsh hay and Aroostook's grain rotation round out a state with deep farming heritage.
Tractor donations from Maine commonly include John Deere potato harvesters and row crop tractors from Aroostook County operations, alongside Massey Ferguson tractors from longtime potato farms. Kubota and John Deere compact tractors come in from smaller dairy and vegetable operations across the state. Vintage Ford, Farmall, and Oliver tractors from Maine's older farms are accepted on the same terms as modern equipment. Blueberry-rake tractors and hay equipment routinely donated.
From large row crop tractors to compact utility units, combines to skid steers, every type of agricultural equipment donated from Maine is accepted — running or not, with attachments or bare, stored in a field or in a barn.
TractorDonations.org runs pickup across Maine. Aroostook County routes include Presque Isle, Caribou, Houlton, and Fort Kent. Central Maine coverage runs through Bangor, Augusta, Waterville, and Skowhegan. Southern Maine pickup includes Portland, Lewiston, Auburn, and Sanford. Downeast routes extend through Machias, Eastport, and the blueberry barren country. Flatbed transport handles most Maine equipment categories.
Call 1-888-324-2772 or use the Maine donation form with make, model, year, and a brief description of condition and pickup location. Most donations confirmed quickly.
